SPEAKING

  • I am a whole-person communicator whose speaking work is grounded in lived experience, cultural identity, and a deep belief in autonomy and belonging.

Speaking with Integrity, Humanity, and Purpose

My talks are more than presentations; they are spaces of safety, clarity, and transformation. I speak from a place shaped by healing, resilience, and cultural reclamation. I understand what it means to be unheard, misrepresented, or spoken over – and I know the power that returns when people reclaim their voice.

My speaking invitations often come from Indigenous communities, universities, leadership groups, and organizations seeking a more human, culturally grounded way to communicate.

A Speaking Philosophy Built on Deep Listening

I arrive with openness, presence, and deep listening, the same principles that shape my communications work.

My voice is steady, compassionate, and deeply human – inviting others to explore their own truth rather than adopting mine.

My speaking approach is:

  • non-violent – never imposing, pressuring, or prescribing
  • autonomy-centered – honouring self-determination
    and lived experience
  • healing-informed – grounded in emotional safety, cultural respect,
    and gentleness
  • culturally aware – attentive to identity, belonging,
    and community realities
  • whole-person – acknowledging the layered histories people carry

Signature Speaking Themes

Belonging & Identity
What it means to move through the world feeling othered – and how identity becomes a source of power, clarity, and cultural pride.

Autonomy & Self-Determination
How reclaiming autonomy reshapes leadership, communication, and community relationships.

Non-Violent Communication
A communication model rooted in consent, listening, and dignity – the opposite of extractive or prescriptive PR.

Voice & Empowerment
Helping people speak in their own way, on their own terms, without replacing their language with institutional expectations.

Healing & Resilience in Leadership
The emotional labour of leading, and how healing shapes stronger, more wholehearted leaders.

Cultural Integrity in Communications
How organizations can honour Indigenous and marginalized communities without appropriation or erasure.

My talks are not just informative, they are restorative. People leave feeling grounded, strengthened, and seen.

A Speaker Who Holds Space, Not Just the Spotlight

I am known for my ability to hold space for difficult conversations, emotional truths, and community experiences. My sessions can often feel more like circles than lectures.

Whether addressing a room of students, organizational leaders, or community members, my priority is always the same: help people feel safe enough to hear themselves.

My speaking work has supported:

  • First Nations communities navigating communications and identity

  • youth developing leadership and confidence

  • organizations learning how to communicate with cultural respect

  • women, mothers, and mixed-heritage individuals exploring belonging

  • leaders wanting to move away from colonial or extractive communication practices

What Audiences Experience

People describe my sessions as:

  • grounding
  • clarifying
  • emotionally resonant

My speaking does not aim to impress, it aims to liberate. I invite people into a deeper understanding of who they are, what they carry, and how they can lead from a place of authenticity and self-trust.
